Event Volunteers

Event Volunteers are one day/time volunteers that allow Special Olympics Forsyth to provide a well organized fundraiser or competition.  Without our volunteers, we would be unable to serve our community, our athletes or raise funds for the programs and services we strive to provide.

Event volunteers are assigned various duties for the day of the event.  Examples of various responsibilities for event volunteers include the following

  • Team Leaders for the Annual Spring Games who walk groups of 6 or less athletes to each of their events.
  • Competition Volunteers assist with the actual competition such as softball throw or the 50 meter run.
  • S.O. Forsyth 5K Volunteers might assist with race day registration, T-shirts, parking, etc.
  • Battle of the Bats Volunteers might assist as a softball team liaison providing water for the teams, merchandise sales, score keeping, etc.
