Coaches
Coaches are required to fulfill 10 contact hours with an athlete. Given that an athlete must have at least 8 contact hours with his/her coach before competing in a state competition, the 10 contact hours are rather easy to meet. Coaches must also complete a registration packet where Special Olympics Georgia will conduct a background check prior to the interaction of a coach and athlete.
Coaches will be given a list of athletes that have expressed interest in a certain area and will determine time/location of the practice sessions.
For information or to sign up for a training clinic, please contact James Parks at jparks@forsythco.com or Mark Keesee at (770) 844-0846 or mark.keesee@att.net.
